Web programmers perform the following functions:
1) Work on projects including web-based applications, website enhancements,
desktop applications, database-backed websites and automation of web
administration processes (utilizing cronjobs).
2) Work within a team environment to address the programming needs of Bangkok Staffing
Web.
3) Participate in processes concerning the architecture of new applications to meet
management needs.
4) Code web pages utilizing XHTML and CSS. Following industry standards.
5) Work in several programming languages including, XML, SQL, PHP, VB, Perl,
ASP, Python, Java, JavaScript, and C++, as well as combinations of languages
such as AJAX.
6) Work in several development frameworks including .NET, Ruby on Rails, Smarty,
and PEAR.
7) Work with a variety of database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL
Server, and Microsoft Access among others. Work within a variety of database
frameworks including ODBC and ADO.
8) Responsible for working on multiple projects simultaneously as directed by
management.
9) Reviews, analyzes and modifies programming-related systems including
documenting, designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining
programs as specified by management.
10)Create modules and features for Open Source and proprietary software
packages including Website Baker and Joomla!.
11)Work with Apache and Microsoft IIS web servers. Interact with servers using
FTP, Telnet, and SSH protocols.
12)Participate in review and company meetings concerning projects and programs.
13)Document work-time and processes as specified by management.
14)Responsible for meeting set goals and deadlines as determined by management.
15)Provide solutions and exceed expectations of Visionary Web clients and
management.
16)Communicate effectively with clients in a courteous and respectful manner.

Responsibilities of programmer:
1) Arrive on time and prepared to work - as directed by manager.
2) Be courteous and respectful of all Bangkok Staffing Web customers and employees.
3) Document all work - billable and non-billable time as directed
4) Meet billable time targets as directed by management.
5) Ask questions of your supervisor if you have questions.
6) Work in a team environment to complete projects in a timely manner. Must be
able to work independently as well.
7) Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
8) Desire to stay up-to-date on current and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities of ฺฺBangkok Staffing Web:
1) Provide work for programmers.
2) Direct work of programmer.
3) Provide a safe, fun, efficient environment.

Hours:
Web programmers work a full-time work week (46.5 hours). Hours are 8.00am until 5.30pm -
Monday through Staurday (Omit Saturday)

Pay:
Pay will vary based on amount of experience, school completion level, and certifications
received. This is an hourly position.

Requirements:
1) At least a Bachelor degree in a computer-related field (computer science/programming).
2)Advanced knowledge of standards-based XHTML and CSS coding
3)Advanced knowledge of programming languages including PHP, Perl, ASP, SQL,VB, C++, and XML.
4)Extensive experience developing databases.
5)Experience with both Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
6)Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
7)Experience with web-based software applications.
8)Above average written and verbal communication skills in english.
9)Web development related certifications highly desirable.
